All
gowns are carefully cleaned using a special process, after
which the gown will be surrounded in acid free tissue, shaped
with an acid free bust form, and preserved in an acid free
inner box.
The
museum-quality storage box is hermetically sealed and shrink-wrapped
with plastic, which allows viewing of the gown. Oxygen is
then purged and the preservation box is infused with nitrogen
to create an enhanced protective environment, making oxidation
virtually impossible. Included in the box are oxygen and humidity
control agents, which further guard against oxidation and
assure moisture control. The gown is guaranteed not to age
or yellow while in the museum-quality, durable, long-term
storage chest, preserving the gown for future generations.
