Not necessarily. The dyes and/or sizing may be solvent suitable and may require wet cleaning for best results. Yet again, there may be other safe methods of processing a garment. The manufacturer is required to list only one safe method. The best way to determine if dry cleaning is appropriate for a particular garment is to ask your local Sparkle Cleaners representative. With the experience, training, and expertise of our dry cleaning technicians we can properly test each of these garments to ensure that your clothes are properly cared for.

On the contrary, dry cleaning prolongs a garment’s life. Not only do stains set with age, making the garment unwearable, ground-in dirt and soil act as abrasives, causing rapid wear of fibers. Insects are attracted to soiled clothes and cause further damage. Dry cleaning solves all of these problems, helping your garment last as long as possible.

Absolutely! As a professional dry cleaner, we can never be sure of what types of dyes or sizing the manufacturer used. Quality standards in foreign countries are not the same as we’ve come to expect here in the U.S. If all pieces are cleaned together, the color and sheen should always match. This applies not only to garments, but to bed linens and drapes as well.

The bags we provide are intended to protect your garments until you get them home. However, fabric needs to breathe. We recommend storing clothing uncovered or in specialty fabric garment bags.

Most definitely! We are a professional dry cleaner, and are skilled in keeping the dry cleaning solvent clean and pure. We only use proper drying procedures. Our meticulous process ensures that your dry cleaned garments will always be odor-free and ready to wear!

We offer same-day service at all of our locations if orders are dropped off by 9 AM Monday through Friday. Dropoffs after 9 AM are ready for pickup the next day after 5 PM. We do not offer same-day services on Saturdays during summer hours. (May 25th through September 2nd.)

Sparkle Cleaners offers free 24-hour locker services. If you aren’t able to pick up your dry cleaning while we’re open, let us know and we’ll store your items in a secured locker. You’ll be able to pick up your items whenever it’s convenient for you.

At Sparkle Cleaners, we are committed to protecting the environment in every way possible. We use the only USDA BioPreferred dry cleaning solvent on the market! In addition, we use state-of-the-art, highly efficient wet cleaning machines for our customers’ laundry.

Actually, we prefer that you do not. It’s almost always best to bring your stained or soiled garment to us before treating the spots yourself. When you drop off your garments, let us know which items have which type of stain. For example, was the stain caused by an oil-based substance? Knowing which type of stain it is allows us to identify the proper solution and stain removal techniques that will be most effective. The more information you can provide the better!

We have expert fitters at all of our Mendel’s Wife the Tailor locations to ensure you get the proper fit for all hemming projects, and other clothing alterations and repairs. There is no need to pin the garments yourself.

It depends on the particular clothing alterations or repair work you require, but each of our Mendel’s Wife the Tailor location features full-time seamstresses who pride themselves on promptness. In addition, we do offer hems while you wait. You may also opt for rush service, which is subject to a rush fee.
