How Often to Schedule Area Rug Cleaning
As a general rule of thumb, we recommend that you schedule professional area rug cleaning at least every 12 months. However, different households have different needs. If you do not have children or pets, and do not often entertain guests, then you may only need to get your area rugs cleaned every 18 months or so. On the other hand, if you do have children and/or pets, you might need to schedule a professional cleaning every six to eight months.
Note that not all of your rugs may need to be cleaned on the same schedule. It’s a good idea to clean rugs in high-traffic areas more often, such as rugs in the foyer or hallway. If you have an area rug in a low-traffic area of your home, such as a study, then it might require cleaning less often.
Some of our customers like to schedule professional area rug cleaning ahead of special occasions. For example, you might want to give your home a refresh if you’re hosting a family reunion. Similarly, if you’re welcoming a new baby into your home, getting your rugs professionally cleaned can give you greater peace of mind.
